Sergey Tokarev Offers a Full-Tuition MBA Scholarship at UC Berkeley Haas

Sergey Tokarev, founder of the Tokarev Foundation, and SET University have announced a scholarship for the MBA programme at UC Berkeley Haas. The scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees for the two-year programme and is available to all Ukrainian citizens regardless of age or place of residence.

What Is Known About UC Berkeley Haas and the Scholarship Requirements

“UC Berkeley Haas ranks among the world’s top ten business schools in rankings published by Bloomberg and the Financial Times. The scholarship will give its recipient access to venture capital networks, the entrepreneurial community and technology companies in Silicon Valley,” says Sergey Tokarev.

To apply, candidates must propose an idea that could contribute to Ukraine’s technology sector through investment, entrepreneurship, science or education. UC Berkeley Haas’s standard requirements include a bachelor’s degree and officially translated academic transcripts, English proficiency at C1 level, GMAT or GRE results, two letters of recommendation and motivation essays. An informal requirement of the programme is at least two years of full-time professional experience.

After enrolment, the scholarship recipient will become an ambassador for the Ukrainian tech community and participate in events organised by SET University and the Tokarev Foundation, including conferences.

According to Sergey Tokarev, studying at one of the world’s leading business schools is not simply about earning a degree; it also provides access to the Silicon Valley ecosystem and the opportunity to build a professional network that can last for decades. He describes this access as one of the scarcest resources for a modern entrepreneur. “We treat education as an investment in the future. The scholarship’s main task is to ensure that knowledge and capital return to Ukraine,” says Sergey Tokarev.

The scholarship covers tuition fees only. Applicants are responsible for preparing the required documents and completing the admission process independently.

The application and funding process has three stages:

• Applicants submit an online form on the organisers’ website.

• After reviewing the application, SET University provides a consultation and sends the applicant a complete list of requirements.

• If the applicant is admitted, the Tokarev Foundation covers their tuition fees.

The admission process takes place in two rounds. The first ends on 10 September 2026, with applications accepted until 3 September. The second ends on 7 January 2027, and the application must be submitted by 31 December 2026.
