Take a Kubernetes snapshot on OpenShift | Trilio for Kubernetes
Take an on-demand snapshot of an application on OpenShift with Trilio for Kubernetes, and see how a snapshot differs from a backup.
You will:
- Start a snapshot from the backup plan menu in the T4K management console
- Name it and follow its status log until it is Available
- See one volume snapshot for each of the application's volumes
- Find the backup and the snapshot side by side in the plan's summary
- Learn why a snapshot is quick to take and restore, but does not survive the loss of the cluster or its storage
